New Super Mario Bros 2 Game Review
No? Well OK, sorry. The main reason it’s taken as long to compose the game review for “New Super Mario Bros. 2” is because it can take an absolute age to write that title! Just kidding, the facts are I have taken such a long time to write this because I’ve been having a lot of fun playing it!
Now, while that might appear to be a fantastic thing (as it is) I have some negative points, to start with I want to tell you just how easy the game is. Frankly it gets my 6 year old self think I was completely incompetent at playing games when I was younger, however I was not! The simple fact of the situation is, “NSMB2” is only much easier than Mario games older, I’m not saying there is no challenge for the seasoned fans of accountants that are chubby, but overall if you’re good at Mario matches you’re going to be steaming through those levels like no body’s business, and if you are not? Well if you die enough times onto a level you are awarded the chance to utilize the golden raccoon suit, which ostensibly allows you to invincible to everything but dropping off the degree. So failure isn’t an option indeed.
Let’s take one minute to look over other unwanted points, ‘variety’ there isn’t much, apart from the staples like ‘fire flower’ and ‘superb mushroom’ there’s not really plenty of fresh things, and the ‘miniature Shrimp’ and ‘mega Shrimp’ make a welcome return however are barely used. The single new addition to the roster of powerups worth mentioning is the ‘golden fire blossom’ that turns Mario into a Midas/Terminator hybridvehicle, smashing bricks and bad guys all over the series, very cool indeed. But aside from that it is business as usual with the controllers being tight as always and the charm factor mobile strike hack cranked up to 11. Oh and I should certainly mention the coins, everyone likes coins directly? Well you had better, because you’ll be collecting a good deal of those! One thousand to be accurate.
However, you may end up following the considerable quantity of 1,000,000 gold coins this time around and you can find lots of ways of accomplishing that (HINT: Golden Fire Flower can help.)
A new feature which I’ve yet to experience is ‘coin rush’ you place the fastest times on 3 random levels to your “streetpass” in the game so when you and a stranger or friend pass eachother in the street together with your 3DS’s their coin rush challenge will show in your match and yours on theirs, then it is possible to attempt to beat the times they submitted and trust they’re failing miserably at trying to be at yours.
New Super Mario Bros 2 Game Review Conclusion
I know that it seems like a lack-lustre inspection as this may be the first time I’ve reviewed a Mario game for my workplace. However, I’ve been reviewing Mario games since I was a youngster, every game that’s released is in comparison to it’s predecessors also it’s really no different with Mario, but after 25 years the reviews begins to sound stale for the same franchise, but let me tell you something. This game is so fun and a franchise will not have to be over 25 yrs old if it isn’t really enjoyable to play. So don’t be concerned about any of it, the match was not broken therefore they did not need to fix it, they will have made a couple tweaks here and there and shined it using gloss and gave it that the golden seal of approval.
Video Game Visuals – 85/100 (Crisp, vibrant, resilient and beautiful. Just letdown by the weird 3D effect which blurs the back ground on purpose if turned on, to bring the results of depth. Which sounds sort of pointless on a device capable of 3 measurements! Better-played in 2 d I think.)
Video Game Gameplay – 90/100 (It’s Super Mario! Nintendo wouldn’t discharge a Mario game which doesn’t always have tight and responsive controls. Other than that it is business as usual using cruelty to turtles and also a careless disregard to health and protection from eating mushrooms that are odd. In general, the way in which it should be but it loses a few things for being a little bit too simple.)
